Len Pannett has been a TLC member for some years and is also one of TLC’s most regular attenders. As such I wanted to know more about him and his role. What I heard I thought would be of real interest to you too – hence tonight’s event.

Supply chains have never been so under the spotlight as they are today, with every day providing new headlines on the effects of their disruption. From Covid and Brexit to ships grounding in the Suez Canal and fires in Chinese ports, the pace of supply chain disruption has been accelerating while their intensity and duration have grown to unprecedented levels.

At the same time, customers have become more demanding, asking for more personalisation, shorter lead times and better prices, making the task of meeting those all the harder.

In response to the complex environment in which they operate today, supply chains are undergoing their biggest change in decades, catalysed by the greatest diversity of technology ever seen. In this presentation , Len Pannett, President of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals in the UK and a Managing Partner at the supply chain transformation consultancy, Visagio, will share some of the lessons from the last couple of years and look at how supply are likely to evolve over the next few years.”

By day, Len Pannett is a transformation expert, helping organisations the world over to overcome their supply chain, programme management and technology challenges for the nearly two decades. By night, Len is the UK President of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, one of the largest end-to-end supply chain professional bodies worldwide, which has the objective of ‘advancing the supply chain profession by connecting, educating, and developing the world’s supply chain management professionals throughout their careers’. Bringing together his focus on supply chain management and his background in engineering, Len is a specialist and regular speaker on how 3D printing impacts supply chains, and his bestselling book, ‘Supercharg3d: How 3D Printing Will Drive Your Supply Chain’ was published by Wiley in 2019.
