The Leaders Club – Pulford

Blog

Thursday 28th November the Leaders Club had a most enjoyable evening at the RAF Club hosted by a founder member of the Leaders Club, Air Chief Marshall Sir Andrew Pulford, Chief of the Air Staff. Sir Andrew was joined by his wife Lady (Nicky) Pulford and it was good to see so many members bring guests or partners.

Sir Andrew spoke about his own personal experiences on leadership and the challenges he has as the new Head of the RAF. He gave numerous examples of good, bad and even toxic leadership he had experienced as he gave us a tour of his remarkable career. In questions he gave an interesting insight from moving from military officer to one with political influence and commented on the issues of always being in the spotlight of media attention.

A fascinating insight from the Battlefield to Whitehall where Sir Andrew has demonstrated the successful application of practical leadership.

We are very grateful for Sir Andrew and his wife to giving so much of their precious time for the benefit of those who were fortunate to hear his sage words last night.
