Margaret Hodge MBE, MP

Margaret Hodge is MP for Barking since 1994 and Chair of the Public Accounts Committee.

Richard Smelt will be interviewing Margaret and also inviting questions from TLC members. In a Q&A session including questions from the audience Richard will focus on:

– Who is Margaret – where does she come from and what have been the key influences on her life?

– Taking on the establishment – the role of her select committee and the thrills and spills or he Chairmanship.

– A woman in a man’s world -carrying on the theme of the year-how has Margaret made it a success and what has she had to overcome.

– Ethical business-what has she seen and what are her tips running business ethically

Given Margaret’s reputation for straight talk this should be an enlightening and challenging event.

On this very special occasion we have managed to arrange to hold the event in the MacMillan Room in Portcullis House.  This will be a unique event and occasion for TLC members and their guests and a huge privilege to gain access to Portcullis House.
