What is going on in the USA? It will affect us all. The presidential election is just over 6 months away. Our panel will give you their views, thoughts and concerns.
To try and provide some ideas, thoughts and perhaps answers we have put together a distinguished expert panel to share their crystal balls with you.
Their biographies are impressive. In summary:
Lord Kim Darroch – served as the British Ambassador to the United States between January 2016 and December 2019, and previously as National Security Adviser and UK Permanent Representative to the European Union. He is also a Vice President of The Leaders Club
Doug Heye is a leading and respected Republican having served in top communications positions in the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Republican National Committee and the George W Bush administration
Mark Landler is London bureau chief of the New York Times and a considerable authority on key political issues. Mark covered both Barack Obama and Donald Trump as a White House correspondent for NYT
Justin Webb is of course well known as one of the main presenters of BBC R4 Today but was previously North American Editor and continues to contribute occasional articles to The Times. He now also heads up a weekly podcast entitled Americast. Americast is released every Wednesday and can be found on BBC Sounds
