Autism, AUDHD and the gut-brain connection
Sarah Osborne BA(Hons)
Sarah’s last presentation in March was hugely popular – one of the best attended this year. As the subject she focused on then (ADHD, Burnout and the Role of Nutrition) was so popular it seemed sensible to ask her back to look at the issues from a different perspective – hence tonight
This presentation takes a deeper look into autism, ADHD, and the emerging science of the gut-brain connection.
With growing interest in how nutrition, nervous system regulation, genetics, the microbiome, and environmental influences may shape health and wellbeing, this session will explore key factors under discussion in current research. Attendees will gain a balanced and accessible understanding of the intersection of neurodevelopment, behaviour, communication, emotional regulation, physical health, and everyday functioning in Autism and AuDHD (the intersection of autism and ADHD).Â
We’ll blend evidence, clinical insight, and lived experience to explore a balanced perspective that helps attendees better understand neurodivergent health and wellbeing.
